Reflection

For me, year three has been a rollercoaster ride, and I detest riding rollercoasters. I had a lot of things I could do better. Clearly, I need to improve my time management and prioritise lists. I frequently catch myself prioritising freelance and outside jobs over academic work. Things were frequently left until the last minute, which forced me to work quickly to finish the tasks I was assigned. I gave myself a lot of reasonable goals before Year 3 had start. For instance, I aimed to write my CPJ consistently, gave ideation more time, and pushed myself to go onward the conventional design process, which entails research, ideation, and execution. Yet I see myself working backwards repeatedly all the time. I also frequently neglected to update my CPJ on a regular basis, and there were times during my time in school when I prioritised doing outside work over completing my final project.

Having saying that, this year also saw a lot of high moments. I completed a project I'm proud of, gained more friends and valuable connections, and learned how to adequately arrange my time—even on the days when it wasn't ideal. The three years passed by so swiftly that it seemed strange to be ended abruptly. As graduation approaches, I find myself missing time spent in school with my friends and the professors, despite the moments when I longed to graduate earlier.

When I first finished my national service, I was concerned about whether I would even be admitted to LASALLE because I just got my diploma in engineering and had no prior design experience. Upon taking classes, I discovered that I was incredibly appreciative of the chance to advance my education and acquire a true understanding of designing. My three years at Lasalle will undoubtedly be in my memory forever.

Even though I don't spend a lot of time in school most of the time, I want to thank my friends for making it fun for me to be there. I am grateful to everyone of the lecturers I have encountered for sharing and imparting their knowledge to me. Thank you, Andreas, for always believing in me, mentoring me, encouraging me, and supporting each and every one of us when we needed it. My entire educational experience has been significantly improved by your unwavering support. I hope that we will have the opportunity to cross paths once more in the future.
