Week 15

In order to get ready for submission, I went ahead and took pictures and videos of my setup this week as well as a video playthrough of the game. The background and setup in the video were supposed to showcase a clean white look. During my location search, I came across a level 5 spot with a white wall and plenty of natural light, and I felt it was a suitable location. We moved pedestals over there with the assistance of my classmates, and I started getting ready for the photo session.

I was eventually finished setting up, despite the fact that it took some time and required numerous trips back and forth to gather materials from the classroom and bring them into the setup. After everything was set up, I got all of my parts and ran the software onto the computer so I could start the video recording. I had originally intended to be the one running through the game in the footage. However, I decided that it would be simpler for me to oversee the video's recording and have my classmate's support in it's contents. Everything was going smoothly up until this point, except for the extremely hot temperature and lack of ventilation in the location where we were setting up.

Unfortunately, it took us several tries during filming to finish the game successfully. In actuality, it took more than three players, and we were still unable to win the game. During our one and only attempt at finishing the game, I observed that the graphics that were supposed to come at the end were not present. In addition, I was unable to figure out why it was not functioning. It was getting late and the sun had begun to fade given that we took too long to set up before then. All I could do was take up the game again the following day.

Strangely, I was able to complete the game in one sitting after taking my work home to verify it and troubleshoot, and the code was functional with the images appearing. Fortunately, the code now functions as it did before. I was unsure of the cause of the problem. Before bringing it to school the next morning to resume my shoot, I tested it several times that evening to be sure everything was operating as it should. Since we had more experience, we were able to set up faster the next day. Additionally, we were able to obtain a larger desktop, which resulted in much larger visuals. We swiftly set up and started filming and shooting my pictures once more.
